An interesting Sunday
I mentioned before about the Medieval Day that was arranged for yesterday. Well I got there about 3pm after watching the Grand Prix but I missed the siege re-enactment. However there was still plenty going on. The weather was thankfully out standing and I was pretty impressed by the numbers that turned out. I have some pictures but I need to upload them first. Also I was able to prove to Ruairi that I do have line of sight to his house across the river so our wireless plans are well underway.
Something else that made the day interesting was that I finally got to put a face onto the name of one of my regular visitors to this blog. Frob and his friend Tadek were in Cork for the weekend. As they were in the general area they visited Youghal. I met them at the medieval event and off we went for a couple of pints before they headed back to Dublin.
So it was an absolute pleasure to meet them both and yesterday ended up being as good as I hoped it would be.
Update – Frob has updated his blog with an entry about his weekend. You can read all about it here.
I have to thank you that you had spare time to meet us in Youghal and go for a pint. :]
I need to wait until Tadek sends me all the pictures from this trip.
No worries, glad ye enjoyed your visit.
