My nerves are starting to shatter

If everything goes as it should, we just have three more days left before the baby is born. According to the white coats, Friday the 9th is to be the big day. However first babies can typically be late according to most people who I have talked to.

We have checked and double checked and triple checked to make sure that we have everything we need. Naturally there will be something that we will forget but I think we have all the immediate essentials. Ryan! I will be calling up to you tonight for the moses basket!

Sylwia is in great form. She has no problem sleeping and has no problems during the day other than heartburn. Trying to get her to stop doing to so much and take it easy is a chore in itself. This is in stark contrast to her friend Kristine. She is due around the same day so her partner and I have a bet on whether the babies will be born on the same day or not :) But Kristine is having lots of trouble sleeping and is just exhausted most of the time. But hopefully all will go well for them too.

The last two weeks have felt like two years and the closer we get to the date the further away it seems. But one thing for sure is that in a few days our lives will have changed for the better. I can’t wait.

Keep plenty of petrol in the car!

Relax and enjoy the last few days on your own, just the two of you, do something special.

Then be ready for that tiny helpless little bundle of love to turn your life upside down forever!

Filled the car up to the brim yesterday evening Grannymar. Now that I think of it, I’m going to head off and try to figure out how to fit the baby seat into the car. That is one thing that I had forgotten about!

Enjoy the next few days, *sleep*. Do the benchmark, get all the geek stuff out of your system now. You won’t have time for it for several weeks after the baby is born!

    Good luck! :)

Cheers Donncha! You’re right. I think I’m going to spend the next couple of days geeking out.

    Thanks Conor.

Nothing stirring yet though. Today is the due day. Had the checkup yesterday and everything looks good but will be a few more days I think.

Best of luck to both of you! Not too long to wait now I hope!

Cheers Aaron, hopefully not too long to wait now. Doesn’t look like anything will happen today. Of course if I decide to go out for a pint tonight that is probably when things start to happen!

Please excuse my speed reading! Realised the due date doesn’t mean the actual date – I should know better! Good luck all the same.
