When I had my first baby I went 16 days overdue before I was admitted to be induced. As soon as I got into the hospital I went into labour naturally and having laboured through the night, my son arrived into the world with the beautiful early morning sunshine. That will be 25 years ago next June but it only seems like yesterday. It was the same day that Maggie Thatcher won the British election for the second time round ‘cos I well remember thinking that I’d something much better to celebrate!

Good luck to both of you if the baby hasn’t arrived by now. After the birth I’ll tell you how long Jacinta was in labour after being induced. Best not to know me thinks..
