Me Blog! – Now brought to you by Sun Solaris
In keeping with the endless tinkering of my various sites, I’ve relocated my blog over to one of the two Sun Sparc Blades I got last week. So this is now being dished out to you via Solaris 10. Migrating was quite simple. Once I moved the database and my WordPress installation over I was able to test everything before making the configuration final on the reverse proxy.
Also in keeping with my seemingly endless habit for overkill it means that my setup here at home has a new level of complexity. As I already mentioned, this blog is now on my Sun machine, my tech blog is on another running Windows 2003 and IIS 6.0 and my main site/wiki is still running on the machine that this blog was running on up until a while ago.
The only problem I can foresee is that I might have a problem with comments as by default Solaris is configured with Sendmail and I’m much more experienced with Postfix but for the moment I’m just going to see how things go.
