Pictures speak more than words sometimes

Unless you happen to speak Icelandic that is! Regardless, check out the size of the 737 on the taxiway compared to it.

Fans of Tom Clancy’s ‘Red Storm Rising’ will/should know exactly where the footage was taken.

Man! could you imagine being a passenger in that? I know it’s a test flight an all…

Hugh – I could only imagine. I love flying but I’m not sure how I would react if I was there!

It’s pretty impressive alright! search YouTube for crosswind landings and be prepared to be impressed ;)

Thing is, Hugh and Robert, you probably have been in planes that landed into crosswinds like that; it’s just not as obvious from inside the cabin.

    Hi Dave,

I know that I certainly have been in a bad crosswind. On an Aer Arann flight from Cork to Dublin. Landing in Dublin I was looking right down the runway from my seat! Like in the clips the aircraft only straightened up just before it touched down. Even then that was a load of fun because the yaw on the plane as it was slowing down was incredible!

That 747 landing at Kai Tak is absolutely awesome :)
