The Strangest Thing
I was on the road bright and early this morning heading on my way to college. My route takes me through Dungarvan, Co. Waterford where I turn off the N25 onto the N72 for a couple of miles and then onto the R672 to take me all the way to Clonmel.
Only about a mile after turning on to the R672 (approx. here between around Colligan Wood) I noticed the sign pictured below that I never noticed before thinking to myself “Hmm, I never knew there were deer here.”
I was glad I slowed to have a look because just around the bend in the photo I was jammed onto my brakes sliding all over the greasy road trying to avoid a young buck that had just jumped straight into my path from the right. He ran along the road in front of my now stationary car and jumped over a big hedge into the woods.
I stopped on my way home a short while ago to take a picture of the sign. If you look at the picture you will see two sticks that seem to be propping it up which; if put there recently may explain why I never noticed it before. Curiously, if you come from the other direction there is no warning sign at all.
Edit – It looks like one of the Google Streetview cars in the U.S. had a similar incident but managed to hit the poor deer. Move along the road and pan back to see the horrible outcome.

Yep, the guuaarrddiiaann just copied the original google pictures of the link above. Google, probably not wanting to be accused of killing Bambi pulled their streetview pictures.
