Bumblebee in the garden

I’m quite pleased with this photo I took of a bumblebee in the garden a short while ago. Click for bigger.

    Ah jaysus i’d be scared of them yokes. i like the way you can see the little drops of shtuff on his back. did u use a macro lens for this?

    That stuff on his back is pollen Dan ;) I took the photo with my Fuji S9600. It has a built in telescopic lens and two macro settings. I think this was one of the photos using the second macro setting.

    The original unscaled photo is even scarier. It’s three times bigger than the one in the link above! Here’s a link to a review of my camera
