Hotlinking is bad but I can make it worse

I feel so ashamed. I’ve just been extremely bad.

Someone in Brazil changed their theme on blogspot and very nice it is too I have to say. His design is excellent but for one thing. He is hotlinking to an image on my server. I’m getting hundred of hits for it so I figured I might goatse him.

Here’s what his site looked like:

I decided not to go for the full on goatse and instead substituted in a picture of an erect penis I got on wikipedia. I have a screenshot but obviously it is not safe for work so you need to click below to see what it looked like after I made the switch:

i’d say the penis is more obvious than a goatse on such a small image anyway

i had a few mp3s on my web server and everytime those stupid flash-based music players that teenyboppers like Dizzler.com kept using them. ended up having to block the referrer but really i should redirect them to the exceedingly annoying “Krishna hara” song

    Indeed Dan,

I thought it was nice and subtle. I also see that he still hasn’t changed his site either so knobs away for him for the meantime.

It appears he’s hotlinking off someone else now. What a shame :-P

So he is! Trazzler.com. At least he’s not hotlinking off me anymore :)

    Robert a chara,

thanks for taking the time with my no power problem yesterday (Sunday 27th) when I got home I pushed in the connectors of that plug (CPU) and the MB powed up, so far – so good. I owe you one. I will see you during the week. Thanks again good neighbor. Dónal
